With the change of the ecological environment, the incidence of respiratory diseases is increasing year by year, and aerosol inhalation therapy is an important treatment method for respiratory diseases. At present, there are many types of nebulizers in clinical practice, but they are mainly compressed air nebulizers. The 2016 "Expert Consensus on Nebulization" also mentioned that compressed air nebulizers are simple in structure, durable and widely used in clinical practice. . So how does it work? How to turn the liquid medicine into mist droplets of the right size?

The compressor provides compressed air with a stable and high flow rate. According to the siphon principle, the liquid medicine forms a plane at the nozzle from the liquid medicine pool through the drug delivery channel. The compressed air is transmitted to the liquid medicine plane through the nozzle in the atomizing cup, and the liquid medicine is cut. Thus, atomized particles are formed; the air flow regulating valve adjusts the flow rate of the gas ejected from the nozzle so that it is not too large, causing the large atomized particles to be transported to the inhalation channel, and the large particle droplets return to the medicine. Liquid pool, re-cut screening.

The drug mist will be initially screened after passing through baffle 1, and the oversized droplets will be blocked by the baffle and return to the liquid medicine pool. Only small enough droplets can rise with the airflow to the upper half of the atomizing cup, accompanied by the patient's inhalation. Action, the air is sucked into the atomizing cup from the vent hole, the air flow will "process" the atomized particles again, and then "screen" again through the baffle 2, only the atomized particles that meet the standard can enter the mouthpiece channel and be used by the patient. Inhalation, the atomized particles that fail to reach the standard fall back into the liquid medicine pool, and are cut, processed and screened again; the baffle 2 blocks the airflow so that it cannot directly enter the inhalation channel of the mouthpiece, but must pass through the baffle 1 filter.

It can be seen that the liquid pool, drug delivery channel, baffle plate, vent hole, nozzle and air flow adjustment components inside the atomizer cup cooperate with the output pressure of the atomizer and the inhalation behavior of the patient to complete the passage of high-flow compressed air. The surface of the liquid is cut to form and screen the atomized particles that meet the performance requirements of the atomized particles.

Also because of this ingenious design, the machine does not need high pressure to achieve a good TOR, which is a kind of protection for the compressor, so the life of the PARI machine is relatively long.
